Hell, small step? Get out of here with that shite Box. We went on the road against a very hostile crowd with their backs to the wall after a loss to UK...they wanted this game BADLY, we are going to beat LSU next week...so another small step??

We just have to keep improving every week . Nice to finally see the team improve as the season goes on .

There is still a lot of things to fix if we're talking Championships on offense and defense. We need a real mobile QB (it's the only box unchecked on offense) and our defense needs depth.
This is definitely a work in progress, but we're at least going in the right direction.

Straws...a mobile QB....like Fitz maybe? WTF dude...we were up against a very tough determined defense...couldn't run well at all until we finally wore on them with Franks short passes. 22 out of 31 passes. 219 yds...he did his job with the damn pass rush he faced.

Tenn put up a fight vs Georgia. We kicked their shite in. We went to State and shut it down.
This team looks like a team growing. Can we not just be happy?

ESPN matchup predictor does have us winning every game left but Georgia. I am not buying into it yet but if we do beat LSU then we shouldn’t lose more then 2 more games .

2008, I appreciate your measure of caution...but of course I expected we would beat LSU...even before season started.
Now, if we beat big bad LSU are you going to admit that hell yeah we are much much better? I don't think we can win the east...UK has two games on us and I feel they will beat UGA at home later in the season. UK in the SECCG? A real possibility in my book.

First you guys don't listen to Dr. Straws prescription to turn around the offense (which worked), second you don't listen to your own head coach.
We're going in the right direction, but it's obvious from a talent level that we need to replace some guys. Especially in the defensive secondary, especially at safety.
We keep winning games, those boys will come, but we can be happy and objective about what the team needs to get back to winning Chompionships -- which is what Dan Mullen was talking about, if you're still missing the punchline.

Every coach talks titles every year. It's what they say. Every one of them. It's clearly not a reasonable thing to believe and they don't believe it either. We are growing.
Secondary is broken and has injury issues. We def need a stud safety I agree. But Frank's just put up great numbers, played incredibly well and y'all still want to go negative on shite.
Enjoy the process. It's a process. It's a first year. We are going to have ugly games. This...honestly wasn't ugly. It was shortened incredibly by the frequent running and very safe throws. The offense was effective and looked like a confident group.
If anything. We should be more worried that Scarlett starts more than Frank's. he just isn't good enough compared to the other two.

It's not negativity, it's a reality. Our end goal is a Championship, maybe not this year, maybe not next year, but eventually.
You saying the secondary is broken and has injury issues is negative, but it doesn't make it wrong.
Also Franks put up decent numbers -- 22/31 219 yards is "okay", not great. 0 Touchdowns, 1 Interception (hit another defender right in the hands, completely overlooked him, could have been 2). % is way up from normal, but he wasn't really that instrumental in the win.
That belongs to the defense.

Frank's didn't blow drives. The penalties did. We really had two drives where we didn't cause the issues with penalties.
Add in that bomb that got taken back. Sadly. We had the refs against us hands down. 2 penalties on State is absurd.
The offense looked smart. 13 isn't a lot, but it's kind of how the game paced. Miss State has a very good defense. Allowing under 300 a game. We did a great job moving the ball.
All the other stuff will be fixed in time. But instead of just focusing on the negative(which is all you do because you deeply dislike Frank's), enjoy seeing UF well coached and know that if we see it...the coaches do too. They will get the boys in. I think Dean should move to safety next year personally. He could be a monster back there.

I'm not going to say Franks had a great game when he had a decent game.
0 touchdowns is not a great game. Toney threw one pass and it was a touchdown.
He had a decent game, all things relative, but all he had to do was bubble screen them to death and have a few good drives.
As for only focusing on the negative: That's all you focus on, that's all you talk about -- that's all you responded to. I literally said the defense deserves the credit, and they do. So instead of picking fights, try to be at least marginally dedicated to having an honest discussion with me.

He did not have a great night, he had a serviceable night which admittedly is a step above his usual slopfest. Thankfully, we passed it short, utilized the bubble screens and got his numbers up and moved the ball.
But if you think this is "great" quarterbacking, then this is as the OP has stated: A very small step forward.
You could always ignore me, that way you don't have to actually think too much.
