I don't know what the half rugby thing was. However, if he can't figure it out in the next three or four games I'd be fine with going all out on the rugby kick.



Again, on the shank they were clearly trying to put the ball between the hash and the sideline. Sitting on the front row of the upper deck, right behind him, you could clearly see that. The rugby thing also I think is less about hang time and more trying to get more distance on the roll and zero return. And in both of those cases, that's also a coaching decision. Now, maybe they are choosing to go that route because he's no JK Scott. But the shank wasn't just a case of him trying to boom the ball down the field and missing it.
