Rooster, what do you know about the XT situation and the car wash? I have heard a story from a pretty prominent Florence attorney (who you probably know) about what went down with that. The story was told in great detail, so I assumed most of it was true.

I'm pretty sure I know the Florence atty you're referring-to ... just saw him at a family member's memorial service last week. He's a really good guy ... and yeah, we all know the story about the car wash. It's beyond fishy, it was pure cheating plain and simple.

But, once again, it is a case of tracing the money trail and they do a good job in that department. They've got it down to a science.

I can think of a similar case some ten or fifteen years ago involving one of the Geathers boys and his dad and Uncle (Jumpy) and a floor plan suddenly made available to them, that allowed them to keep their car lot open, the night before signing day that ended-up sending him to UGA.

That was one of the more blantant, egregious examples in recent history and I am pretty sure it was looked into and investigated right down to the banker at the beach who was a UGA grad and booster ... but nothing stuck.

It's all just another example after example of what goes on in the world of recruiting that most fans assume happens ... but few know the details.

Another great example that blew up in Clemson's face, that I got personally involved with, was the Rocky McIntosh, Littlejohn recruitment ... Clemson should have been hammered far harder than they were but Lamar Green was good at covering his tracks and Tommy Bowden had also learned from the master ... his Dad.
