RB Malik Davis out with a really serious injury. At least its a position were we have depth...but Davis's hard nose running will be missed. Expect Pierce to get more carries now.

Good news is that Davis Reese # 33 will be back at ILB. We really need his experience on the field. If anyone noticed on Saturday...James Houston showed up well at LB and was delivering wood. He is playing his first year after suspension for the year in 2017. It helps us with depth. I think Kylan Johnson got dinged up early in the game.

Our defense needs to show up against UT and keep making them punt.

I just hate to see Davis injured like this so early in the season, remember he was hurt last year and missed games.

But I am excited to see what Pierce can do with more carries and hopefully he has learned enough pass protection schemes that he wont get QB sacked. Being a RB isn't just about running...he has to understand blocking, pass routes as a safety valve etc etc.

Glad to see Reese back but at least we had a lot of guys getting reps, Jackson, Houston, Moon as LB/DE, Ventral Miller. They are possible very good players for us in the near future.
