They're both kind of dishonorable, sitting down and the offense itself because you're putting the other team's players at a heightened risk of injury

Should the quarterback clear with the defense when they’re ready? Maybe the coach whose team is on defense could signal the all clear to the other coach. Or maybe institute a separate clock that clicks off the minimum amount between offensive plays. The idea that it’s just a Big 12 thing is absurd. Teams play with tempo across the country every week. Taggart is a “whining little bitch arse snake of a coach” yet you’re whining because the defense has to hurry up. Good grief.

Or maybe you take the good with the bad while running that offense. You hurry them up, they get tired and sit down.

Retool your offense, because if anyone thinks they're going to start flagging for 'fake' injuries, schools will just do it in a more unnoticeable fashion.

No, I'm saying he's making up an excuse for his team to look like shite and I'm saying if they're stupid enough to believe that a defense will purposely tire themselves out because they don't want to be dishonorable when they can do something that doesn't negatively act on their team, then they have no business coaching.

It has nothing to do with being tough, it has to do with winning. You create an offense that exploits the defense, the defense uses a tactic that exploits the offense.

To think teams won't do it is bordering on retardation.

I know this was directed at someone else, so no problem and not a big disagreement on my end.

My biggest beef though is not the "hurry up" part but more of the blocking downfield which now that refs are throwing flags on have rendered this offense a lot more ineffective than it used to be.
