Mississippi State fans were really excited about this season. They had a lot of reasons to be.
They thought they might be able to finish a solid 2nd place in the SEC West. And maybe even dare dream of a trip to Atlanta with a miracle win over Bama.
Then ...
Tua. shite. He's as good as they say he is. And we gotta play them in TTown. Oh well. Maybe 2nd place? frick it, we'll take it.
Auburn. Damn. They *do* have the horses. Maybe we can challenge them for 2nd or at least get a decent bowl game out of this.
Ole Miss. Oh hell. Where did that come from. Hmm this might be harder than we thought. But we can count on beating LSU again.
LSU. SON OF A BITCH ... We probably ain't beating them this year either.
And finally ...
Damn, we have a decent team but really We're just middle of the pack of tWest if we're lucky.

After last night, I have not seen a more defensive, scared bunch posting in the scoreboard section. Funny to see. THIS is how offseason championships are won.

The only thing unexpected on your list is Eddie O, but even that’s not a shocker. It’s gonna be a great year in the West. Looking forward to it.
