What say the board about Johnathan Johnson returning punts, especially in a game with a significant lead.

With Floyd out there isn't anyone of his caliber and skillset at his position.

I understand we want sure-hands back there even if we're fair-catching.

I understand a punt return for TD can change a game.

I understand JMac did it here and talented people do it all over the country.

But how often is JJ going to return a punt?

Is it worth the injury risk?

It seems unnecessary when you have 80+ athletes on a roster.

How is no-one else valued enough to handle that dirty work?

And then when you want to roll the dice with your A-guy, put him out there when you really could use a return TD.

They put someone in that had prior experience and might progress. Nothing more. They didn’t have much of a choice otherwise. They needed to see what was working and had to start there

Johnson is terrible at it and he's far from the "safe choice". He lets far too many balls hit the ground.

I'd actually go with Hilton. I know for a fact that he is going to catch the ball.

Well I did a few Punt returns and KO returns and I can tell you my biggest fear was the wind blowing at the worst moment, or catching the ball in the rain, stuff like that.
