Ten years ago your own AD cared enough to go away from the Carolina and USC moniker, and went with Gamecocks as your brand. There is a reason that yall don't have a consistent brand... apparently every ten years your school completely changes your brand identity. It doesn't bother me, but if I was a Gamecock fan, I wouldn't be all over the constant brand changes. The old logo is unique and iconic... no reason not to embrace it.
