Why is the gifs thread locked?

I figure this board needs some more activity and with the excitement around the football program the gifs thread needs to be bumped. My question is why was the gifs thread locked and the orientation thread demoted from the top?

Is there a way to unlock the thread and for the memes to show again? For that matter, who even is the admin for this board? The Flagship needs to sail again, so this board needs to regroup.

I posted an updated gi thread from that thread that still had pics that worked about 2 ago?

I know. That is what reminded me of the Arkansas sports-related gifs thread from years ago that I had come across. I went back to bump it but it was locked. It had all the "rivalry application denied" and "no f's given" memes. I should have been more clear in the OP.

I ain't nobody's alter. I just like to be informed as a poster. I actually read the orientation thread before registering and came across the gifs thread link.
