DISCUSS

My thoughts:
1. Surprised Buchanan got the nod at center and Heggie is just a back up.
2. Toney not starting surprises me - Is this a sign that Josh Hammond is emerging or is Toney just in trouble? I think the latter.
3. Depth at OT is scary. Can't have injuries there at all.
4. RB depth chart looks about right. Expect Davis to move up as the season goes a long.
5. Cece Jefferson not listed as a Starter? WTF?
6. Antonneous Clayton - Missing In Action AGAIN
7. The OR at kicker makes me nervous
8. Secondary looks great at corner, still wondering if the roster has a really good safety anywhere to be found...
9. Interested to see Toney at PR.
10. David Reese listed as a starter - just for show or is he actually hurt?
11. RJ Raymond way to go! #2 on the TE depth chart booyyyyyyy

1. I'm actually a little shocked at Buchanan as well, but he might have had an outstanding off-season.

2. I heard Hammond has been outstanding, and with his size I think he's preferable for his blocking rather than Toney who might be a little on the light side.

3. OL for the next few years is probably gonna be pretty terrifying in general.

4. I expect Scarlett and Perine to really wear down opposing defenses and then Davis to come in and wipe the floor with them in the fourth.

5. No idea with Jefferson, I know there are some suspensions coming out.

6. Clayton not even being listed is troublesome.

7. Kicker probably just being told "hey you're not invincible just because you were good in HS".

8. Really, really surprised that Dean was listed as an outside corner. He's extremely physical.

9. Toney at PR scares me, I think he gets hurt too easily.

10. I think Reese is okay and will start.

11. I really hope Lewis is ready. Yikes.

Just looking at replays of last year it was obvious that guys like Toney and Davis were players...Toney is electric with the ball and Davis was a tough hombre to bring down.

I repeat the mantra of the importance of outrushing your opponent. We have to do much better at moving people out of the way and let our backs pile up numbers. Mullen will use the spread an we will see a lot more balance on offense.

BTW Charleston Southern is an option team, so it will be a good way to see how our LBs perform...as they have to make sideline to sideline tackles...and safetys will have to come up a lot. We have to contain the ends and force them to pitch early or keep the ball.

As a reference Mullen and Moo State beat them in their opener last year 49-0.
