Robin Leach dead at 76

Dont know how many of you remember the old TV show "lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" hosted by Robin Leach? It was a pre-TMZ type show that showed the decadent lifestyles of celebrities including their homes, yachts, cars, clubs, etc. Ole Robin finally bit the big one this week.
A buddy of mine used to have a small construction company in New Jersey when he was just about 26 years old. His business installed hot tubs. he got a job one time installing a huge new tub in Leaches massive home. Problem was that the tub was huge, and there was no way to directly put it into the backyard without going over the house. So my boy John, hires a crane to lift the unit over the house. Well...it was windy that day... and said unit got dropped right through the roof of Robins home into the master bedroom... creating a rather large and unintended skylight.
John did not have insurance coverage for this... so Robin Leach sued him. Said construction company closed immediately thereafter!

That show as more like a Pre MTV CRIBS then TMZ.. I remember watching a ton as a kid though

And Leach was perfect for it. That weird accent, even the Brits say its an odd mix of cockney and Manchester, along with the completely over the top nature of it all... He was the exact right guy, in the exact right time and place to do that show.
