Is the Jeremy Pruitt hire simply a large seeding of rye grass?

I'm not sure, but that's because I cannot figure out the difference between annual and perrenial. Just when I think I've planted something that will come back the next year, it doesn't.

The definition of perrenial: A perennial plant or simply perennial is a plant that lives more than two years.

Two years. Maybe more but not likley? So I think Jeremy Pruitt is a perrenial.

Two years, then...

If ryegrass lasts for decades then I don't care if I got the basic premise of the thread title wrong. You all know what I meant.

edit: seeding

For full disclosure, I'm a Bermuda grass guy. I want my entire yard to eventually look like an SEC football field.

But I've got a big arse black walnut that steals a bunch of water from surrounding grass and causes too much shade for a full kickass front yard Bermuda dynasty. So far.

So anyway, I'm experimenting with Pennington's Contractor's Mix

I like it even though it's mostly fescue and ryegrass (like Jeremy Pruitt)

It's like growing hair on Paul. Amazing.

Still not sure what perrenial means, but this is the future of the Tennessee Vols:

2018 Head Coach - Jeremy Pruitt

2019 Head Coach - Jeremy Pruitt and *Phil Fulmer

2020 Head Coach - Phil Fulmer

*Denotes Fulmer taking over at midseason in 2019

More disclosure:

You may have noticed I referred to my yard as "my yard." Not as "my lawn."

I don't have a lawn. I have a yard. Lawns are those big wide stretching things in a richer community or out on country highways that require riding mowers and don't have many trees taking up water from the grass. Lawns are half an acre to several acres. Screw that.

My yard is less than .2 of an acre and that's how I like it, even though I'm going for the Bermuda dynasty anyway at some point. But there's too much shade. Trees in the front and back, ivey growing up over fences (I like that), shade from trees in the alley, etc., etc., meaning the kind of green on green back yard that is popular in a neighborhood full of hippies.

Lots and lots of shade. Hence the need for the rye grass (Jeremy Pruitt)

Jeremy Pruitt is like that rye grass you seed in your food plots. He's just there to fill the gaps until your quality food plot plants like turnips, peas, etc. can come in.

Cut the trees down or resod with zeon zoysia.

How shade tolerant is it? I was pretty set on St. Augustine next year when I re-sod my entire yard due to several large oak trees, but I would much rather have zoysia. Also-how maintenance intensive is it?

I've already cut two down

Zoysia is hit and miss above the 35th parallel

it's fine for big open space lawns

I'm a poor boy with a hippy yard. Zoysia don't like that.

Pruitt is annual rye. Looks good for a season and then the heat comes and kills him.

You are no doubt a copo in the Coche County Tennessee mafia, or you are Jeremy Pruitt his own damn self.

Well I will not be deterred sir!!!

You POS's can murder TBA agents who get too close to your local compromised sheriffs there in Newport, and claim your protection from the Cuban cocaine cartels hiding their stash up on your mountain, but that doesn't mean the rest of us #MAGA's will cowtow and cower to your globalist agenda coming out of Coche County.

I stand by my comparison of Jeremy Pruitt (you or not!) and rye grass.

Deal with it bitch!
