Sure. Nationwide, not even worldwide. Get out of the SE and I don't think the majority of people know where Clemson is located

that probably goes for other colleges too including Uni of SC.
there are a lot of people not familiar with Columbia. lol
But given the number of out of state students Clemson gets, I would say it is well known on the east coast.
