Leach would have only been entertaining because of how weird he is, but I don't think he would have done a whole hell of a lot at UT. Outside one outlier season at Texas Tech, the guy is an 8 win a season coach. UT had that with Butch.

In his last 6 years in Lubbock, he went 3-3 against Bob Stoops Sooners. If he was at a power program, he would do just fine.

I would have looked at guys like Matt Campbell, PJ Fleck, or Mike Norvell before Leach. At least with those young guys, you bring in the possibility of them being the next big thing. Leach is who he is, and IMO he's not the caliber of coach that is going to meet the expectations of a program like Tennessee.

He'd beat Alabama at Tennessee, and who knows what kind of spring board that could bring. Pruitt won't beat Saban.

However, I do think they could have done worse than Pruitt. He's not the splash they wanted but he clearly knows what it takes to win football games and what a winning program looks like.

Possibly.

great, and in his last 6 years in Lubbock, he averaged 4 losses a season. He went 1-5 against Texas.

The Big 12 was total butt cheese while he was there, and they didn't play defense, which worked out great for a coach like Leach. In all his years as a coach, he has had 1 season with more than 9 wins.

Went 3-7 overall vs OU and 1 of those teams were unranked amd the other lost 5 games...talk about cherry picking

His best team in '08 lost by 2 TD's to Ole Miss

No he wouldn't and nothing in his record indicates this.
