Former Southern Cal defensive back Jamel Cook will has joined the South Carolina football team, per contacts within the Gamecocks football program.
In three games as a redshirt freshman in 2017, Cook appeared in three games and was in on two tackles. His true freshman season, he was sidelined with a foot injury for half of the year and could not do much of anything,
The former 4-star recruit did not participate in spring practice this past season with the Trojans. Cook, who spent two seasons at that USC, was the No. 99-ranked prospect in the class of 2016,

Good pick up for next year. 6'4 safety?

Florida prospects never do too well at USC.

Yea, we want him at safety. After sitting this year, he's a 2x2 player.

He couldn't cut it at the real USC, so he transfers to USCjr. I like it.

Isn't it amazing how the Recruiting board has taken a dive lately thanks to the noobs and asshats who refuse to abide by the "No Trolling Here" rules that the rest of us have lived-by and honored for years.
It's honestly about time to start RAing some of the trolls on this board and asking for some to receive some time outs. It's getting totally out of hand.
So, with that said ...
This Jamel Cook kid was a Top 100 player out of HS, Top 5 at his position. Boom recruited him heavily, along with T-Rob, but he was committed to FSU along with another player from the same HS we were recruiting .... they both were committed to FSU.
When Jimbo went to A&M we pulled the one teammate of his that was committed to FSU, along with another, and we thought we were going to get Cook as well.
But Cook took a last minute visit to SoCal and committed.
He didn't like it and called to ask if he could transfer here and Boom and T-Rob are glad to have him.
We've applied for a waiver hoping to get him a sixth year, because he RS'd as a freshman and played sparingly last season as a RFr being nicked-up.
Coaches seem to think he's probably a big enough talent, once they've had a chance to work with him, that he'll declare first chance he gets.
It's a good look for the SEC because, once again, more and more kids are finding out the left coast is not the place to be, it's not what it once was.
We're glad to have him.

That's a question for the SECr, not this Recruiting Forum.
If you want to troll, flame, etc., take it to the SECr ... don't do it here.
We all get along and are amiable on this forum. It's been that way for years. I do not understand why some UGA fans lately, and especially some of those who recently joined, insist upon violating the rules of this forum.
It's getting old fast.

I didn't know there were rules to this forum, I was just responding to the guy who wanted to know what USC has won lately. It's getting old real fast not knowing the rules to this place
