Don't get me wrong. I'm all for upgrades and stuff. I just hate the argument that our current stadium is holding us back in recruiting. The only thing about it that holds us back is that it is TINY compared to other SEC stadiums, and that's not really a fixable problem because if it's any bigger we'll just have more empty seats and/or more opposing fans, which also will not help in recruiting. I can somewhat see an argument that a nicer stadium will attract more casual fans but not enough to pay for the upgrades or to grow the "fan base" enough to impress recruits (or maybe I should say "be less negative to recruits"). The stadium is not a problem for the on-field product, but it could use some work to enhance the fan experience.

Agreed! In fact Vanderbilt’s stadium is endearing to the other teams’ fans and players, and Vanderbilt is well respected by programs and fans from the SECW top to bottom.

And the National Championship recently won in College Baseball was incredibly fun to watch and great for the conference, the game and the fan bases around the nation.

Keep the stadium open, clean and we’ll be there on road trips then out and about Nashville after the game!
