I don't think we have eliminated all other conferences. Also, I'm an LSU fan. Hence my screenname.

I have made the point that modern college football started in the 1970s with integration. We can talk about the sport before then, sure, but it fundamentally changed with integration. I do not believe you can compare pre-integration cfb to post-integration cfb. Most of the players from back then wouldn't even make the team today.
