fug em….

No mercy...no recruiting advantage for them and if they play us, they get to improve their home schedule by us being on it.

Honestly the only game of national interest they have on the schedule is OU and that is mostly interest in OU and has been this way for about 9-10 years. Most fans outside the B12 could care less about all but 1 or 2 other games. The interest "footprint" is regional and really not that great anymore outside of it. This is not a blip.... this is the direct result of 8+ years of mediocrity.

There is a certain amount of irony that they launched the LHN at the height of their popularity and hubris only to see the wheels come off the wagon almost immediately. For a few years no one in the Athletic department could say more than 2 or 3 sentences without "the brand" being mentioned. Well... here you go. How is that brand doing now? Everyone is generally in agreement that A&M moving from the B12 to the SEC helped us on many many fronts. What is rarely ever mentioned is the damage caused to texass and their "brand" is much bigger and much deeper than even they want to admit or even understand. 7 years ago it was texass that almost tore the B12 apart and tried to orchestrate a move for OU, A&M, and Texas Tech. Today texass would never even consider trying to orchestrate a move in their best interest. It was the absolute height of arrogance. They know it and so does everyone else. Thank god the Ags blocked that mess and then told those assholes adios.

I've gone back and forth over whether to schedule them or not. Honestly we don't have much to lose or gain by playing them They sure have a lot to gain so for this reason I would rather wait on a bowl matchup and not schedule them on a regular basis.
