re: Who do you see as your school's best player of all time?

Gonna say George Rogers for USC (I'm old enough to remember watching him).

But a guy that runs a close second to me is Alshon Jeffery. Sidney Rice really had the same kind of stats (and Sterling Sharpe/Rober Brooks back in the day), but there was something different about Alshon.

I think he did more than any other player to start that good streak of 10 win seasons Spurrier had. More than Shaw, Clowney, or Lattimore.

Julio Jones had big stats and has had a great NFL career. But in college Jeffery somehow could not be covered. Sure it was easy enough to find a guy who could run with him, but in the end if the qb could get the ball anywhere near him in a decent position he was coming down with the ball.

I think he is the only offensive player we have had in recent memory that could not be shut down by Alabama or another elite school. Lattimore was like that too, to some extent, but I really don't think even Alabama had a corner who could have shut Jeffery down. Rice was similar in a lot of ways, but lacked the same kind of physicality.
