I always said Mullen would do great things at a place like Florida that could recruit itself, BUT I feel like the resurgence of Miami and having an outstanding recruiter in Taggart at FSU is not good for him. He will always be behind those two in recruiting and with Georgia recruiting the way they are right now is a perfect storm against him. Will be really interested to see if Florida gives him 3-4 years without winning the east but having a pretty good record overall.

We gave Muschamp year 4 after going 4-8 and losing to a Ga Southern team that didn’t complete a single pass. McElwain hung himself with the death threat stuff or he would’ve gotten at least one more year. I think it’s pretty apparent we will give Mullen at least 4. Especially since his buddy Stricklin is still his boss. They seem pretty fond of each other. We will see what he does with it.
