My family and I are considering moving in the next 1-2 years, we have been looking at the following areas; Ocala, Winter Haven, and Spring Hill. Can anyone tell me about these areas or other towns/suburbs nearby, it would be much appreciated! Not really looking to spend more than 250k on a home but looking for somewhere that’s safe and has things to do.

I'm maybe 30 miles north of ocala, straight bfe... with easy access to jax, g-ville, or st augustine. Are you into rural type settings, cause if not, this is not for you. Personally i love every moment of having a couple dozen acres... but there are tradeoffs.

Ocala has some incredibly beautiful rolling hills/horse country. Legit awesome scenery you would not expect from our state. Spring hill is the smallest of the locations listed, not that i consider it a negative. But like winter haven, you'll find a lot of agricultural type shite going down... with a splash of a town. What interests you in these areas? I could possibly expound further knowing why you're looking at these areas.

I live in Winter Haven and can tell you it's a good place to live if you like lakes (fishing, hunting , skiing etc.) Our main economic driver has moved from agriculture to golf course retirement communities. There is plenty of work for skilled tradesmen in anything construction related. What profession you in? Quiet town of around 50k only an hour to either coast.
