LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas' attorney general has approved the wording for ballot measures that would raise the minimum wage, legalize casinos and change the redistricting process.

Attorney General Leslie Rutledge certified the measures on Wednesday, hours after justices gave her three days to approve or substitute language for a proposed initiated act to gradually raise Arkansas' minimum wage to $12 an hour by 2022. The sponsor of the measure sued after Rutledge had previously rejected its wording.

There should be full casinos at Oaklawn and southland but the counties listed are a mess. Boone should get one and maybe miller, don’t like anybody else. I would put a casino atttached to the Arlington hotel in hot springs so they could renovate the place.

Are all these going to be voted on separately?

Where @? No room north by state line and they won't put one south of the college. No one would want it Bruno - pyatt/Omaha/Bergman/Lead hill/Alpena areas.
Perhaps dog patch (then youd possibly run into the school area issue again)?! I think I saw it switched owners again, however.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) -- A measure to gradually raise Arkansas' minimum wage to $11 an hour by 2021 has qualified for the November ballot.
The Arkansas Secretary of State's Office said Thursday that backers of the campaign have turned in enough signatures to qualify for the ballot. The proposal needed at least 67,887 signatures from registered voters to qualify, and the state says the group submitted more than 84,000 valid signatures.

The initiated act will be Issue Five on the ballot this year. Voters will also consider whether to limit damages awarded in lawsuits, amend the Arkansas Constitution to require photo identification to vote, and impose stricter term limits for lawmakers. A group working to legalize casinos in Arkansas has until next week to submit additional signatures needed to qualify for the ballot.

If approved the initiative would gradually raise Arkansas' minimum wage from $8.50 per hour to $9.25 per hour in 2019, $10.00 per hour in 2020, and and ultimately $11.00 per hour in 2021.
