Good job everyone.
They way I thought about it was "I've been invited to three different bbq's and I have a psychic ability to see how it all turns out- who's bbq to I attend?"
I couldn't help but vote for Bigdaddydawg's. I think a few more pics of the ribs and a little more content about his process, and he could have ran away with this.
Ribs and blue crab, and melty cheeseburgers, and Chuck Mangione, just unbeleivable. Bigddaddy's six pack of Lite tallboys not even in a cooler, knowing damn well they are getting consumed before they have a chance to warm up. I don't know if I'm even going to bother participating in future, all of yall are just too damn good.

I'd like to dedicate my "Best Drink" award to my brother-in-law. Who left that thing behind in my cooler last weekend. Who would of ever thought such a random act could lead to a prestigious e-award! We did it man! Woooooo

Jefferson,
Does your award lead you to rethink your position on McSnoot's place in the beer industry, or can that be chalked up to simply a tasty aberration?

There may be other good McSNoot Ales out there. I'm not going to be running around trying to find them though.
Also when you start to see baseball bat flavored beer and they're being serious and it's not a joke, I think it may be time to sell off any craft beer trend stocks you own.

The makers of that beer think marijuana and strango-jerk music are cool, and they made an overhopped beer meant to taste like weed but soaked it in sawdust first for a Atlantard gimmick, and you loved it... this is far out.

It's not over-hopped. That's why it was good. And the over-the-top gimmickness of it also made it good. Because there's no way they are being serious, so it's like I'm sharing an inside joke with the brewer. OVerall though, I'm just shocked at how unsophisticated yours and Hobnail's pallets are for not liking it. You two should stick to beginner beers.

This is a great honor! I humbly accept the trophy and thank the judges for their diligence and other competitors for inspiring me to do my best. But this trophy isn’t about me...
It’s about the Dads who teach their children about the joys of grilling and pork
It’s about testing out that new grill for the first time
It’s about hanging it out there with seafood for a Rib Off
It’s about old guns, dogs and strange beer
But it’s really about every man that’s ever put flame to meat and taken on the burden for getting it right...while drunk....for family and friends. It’s about experimenting with local honey, strange rubs, charcoal, temp swings and the elements....while hunting for that pink ring.
That’s what Rib Off is all about.
Thank you ladies and gentlemen. And God Bless America.
