It's called Fort Leisure for a reason. Just do what you're told in AIT and don't do anything stupid, same advice for any AIT outside of Huachuca which is always a little different.

No but some of their AITs can be almost a year long so their rules are a little different. What brand of Logistics did you go?

Everyone I know went there for either BOLC/CCC or an NCOES at ALU and I've generally heard good things...AIT is always a different animal, your freedoms will be restricted, although less than BCT, and it's going to be like that everywhere with every AIT. Just embrace it, 2-4 weeks goes fast, you've already done more than that. I wouldn't even worry about Lee, just focus on getting through AIT without fricking yourself up.

Get through AIT.
Now, if you do that, then you are living in a great place. You can take the Metro into DC for peanuts. I have lived in Fort Lee and its a fine post.
Do not drive into DC. That is the path to madness.
Remember that you have the very best post exchanges in America within pissing distance. Do they not have want you on base? Well there are only umpteen million military bases within your neck of the woods.
Old Town Alexandria has the most confusing traffic known to man. But there are a lot of great shops there. Most of the titty bars in the area are fully nude. If you want really freaky deaky then venture into Maryland. Your chance of dying does increase by quite a bit though.
Do not forget that the Honkey Corridor is not a lie. There are quite a few places in DC to visit during the day that only a fool would visit at night.
And, while it has been a while... the Smithsonian has a good hot dog bar.
