What I loved about JUCO ball back in the day was we had guys on scholarship getting degrees in welding, auto body repair, carpentry etc. Theae were all kids from the local area who weren’t academically gifted and had limited athletic ability who were able to learn a trade that would translate into a good career for them. There were some of the placement guys from the big programs but nothing like today.
