SC had the #1 draft in the NFL in 1980 in George Rogers.

Yup. South Carolina has two, but George was before the SEC.

As an Independent, if memory serves.
George Rogers was a legendary running back, but I'm pretty sure you can't find his stats in the SEC record book.
