Can attest to this. Bama fans were terrible in 2008. It didn't even matter that it took the worst Auburn team besides the 2012 for that to finally end the streak.

You act like they squeaked by "the worst Auburn team besides 2012". Bama beat AU 36-0 in 2008 (and 49-0 in 2012, and it could've been worse).

It wasn't about simply ending the streak. It was the way the streak was ended and the obvious signs all around the program that special things were about to happen again. You act like it was all about beating AU, but it was about so much more (although some of it certainly was about beating AU)

That works both ways. Auburn wasn’t exactly beating great Alabama teams from 2002-2007.
