Whenever my wife took kid there for breakfast, they hurried to open the door for her, got her situated at a table and brought a high chair to her, cleaned it off, took her order from the table and brought the food out to her, do you need napkins etc.... the works.

Whenever I took him there for breakfast I was treated like all the other schmucks. No white glove treatment whatsoever.

This was a recurring thing, not a one time thing.

She always gets the pampering there.
I always get the schmuck treatment.

At one point I was holding the kid and the girl tried to hand me two drinks. I looked at her long enough for her to offer to carry one ( or both) and she just stared. I said “I can only carry one, i guess I’ll have to come back for the other “. She said with a smile “ok!”

They weren’t slammed.

They are just too conservative to think maybe dads have equal (or more) roles in parenting these days and appreciate the little things too.

THis story actually makes me like Chik-Fila even more. Women should always be treated better and differently than men are.

If I'm walking up to a door and there's a woman anywhere close behind me, I'm going to hold the door, step aside, and let her go in first. If I'm walking up to a door and there's a dude kind of close behind, I'm not stepping out of the way for him. I'll hold the door until he gets close and shove it to where he can catch it so it doesn't slam in his face, but I'm not going to wait on him like I'm his butler or something. Unless it's a really old man. Then I'd hold the door and let him go through first and say "yes sir" when he thanked me.

So, I for one am glad that Chik-fila appreciates the natural order of things.
