How about 2016?
2016 SEC QBs

Or does this QB driven league start in 2018. From this point forward? As if every idea that you have ever had about football is bogus, but there is a chance that you are on the cutting edge of changes within this conference moving forward.

Auburn fans are always good for a chuckle. They haven't earned the moniker Backup U for nothing.

2017-Stidham to the SECW, Tua to the NC. Even with all Bama's talent they would not have won without him. QBs prevented LSU, UF and A&M from contending. It also make MSU at least an average team. Lock made Missouri competitive.

2016-There wasn't a decent QB in 16 and it showed on the field. It validates everything I have been saying. It took a good QB to overcome Bama's talent to win the NC. If you can not see that then you are the biggest idiot UGA fan or just lying to yourself.

That’s why it’s news that uga returns an experienced qb. To win the sec with a true freshman at qb was impressive.

2017-Stidham to the SECW

Ignore the fact that Locke and Shurmur had more yards per game and touchdowns (by a huge margin) than Stidham.

Hell... even Fromm had more TDs than Stidham.

Ignore the fact that Auburn had 34 rushing Touchdowns (3rd in conference and Auburn ironically finished the season... 3rd in conference).

So, you are ignoring the entire game. Yes... you are ignoring the INT by Tua that almost allowed UGA to put the game away... right up until the freaky INT by Fromm that gave Bama the momentum that they road into overtime. You are ignoring the QB sacks which put both UGA and Bama way behind the chains in overtime.

Either there is a lot of ignoring for your theory. Or there is a lot of ignorance.

Backup U strikes again.

It took a great running QB to beat Bama in 2016. Watson had 165 rushing attempts on the season (almost the exact same number for Matthews at Auburn and Tebow at Florida).

But this isnt about the NCG or the ACC. The thread is about what wins in the SEC. And it always is the most dominant run game and dominant run defense.

You can't come up with a competent thought about the SEC so you are grasping for straws. Desperation.

again, LSU has had flat out bad QB play. Same with Florida. No one has said you can win with bad QB play, although it has been done before. However, I have never seen a team win this conference with anything less than a good defense and good running game. And I'll go all the way back to the SECCG era's beginning. I can't think of a single one. Even Florida's fun and gun offenses were complimented by elite defenses and running backs like Fred Taylor.
