Given that Stetson Bennett would become Fromm's immediate backup, there is no way Fields redshirts.
Plus you get Fields for 3 years maximum. Better install some packages for him the first 2 years and use him as the full time starter in year 3 after Fromm goes pro early.

There is no guarantee he even starts in those 3 years. Do you really think he enters the draft having not started a game with at least one more year of eligibility?
Fromm doesn't seem like the type of QB that goes pro early. He is AM11 with a weaker arm.

It’s not just Stetson Bennett, there is also Sam Vaughn.
If Fromm comes out of a game because his shoe comes off, they aren’t going to burn JF’s redshirt.
