Harris goes yard with the sacks juiced.

4-0 Mizzou in the top of the 5th.

Just something you have to accept with him. He did only give up 1 hit and 0 runs over 6 innings against a #11 team. Probably had the best start of any of the pitchers this weekend.

The biggest problem he runs into with his lack of control is his pitch count. He seems to be able to work around almost all of his walks.

Damn, our baseball team is actually competing in conference play this year. I think we are a new head football coach away from gettting Mizzou Athletics mostly out of the gutter

Solid defense and solid pitching will win a lot of games. Bats were kind of suspect at times but hell, you're playing a top 10 team. That is to be expected.

Might be the best 3 man rotation I've seen in a while. Seems we always have 2 strong starters but not 3. If you include LaPlant, it's 4 strong starters. Plus Toelken has still looked solid in relief and could easily start on Sundays for many teams.

Vierling and Cornelius are vacuums up the middle. Those guys allow the pitchers to attack the zone. It's what makes DeOca hard to watch. He falls in love with his slider and four seam when his two seam and change could make for quick sides.

Beiser is going to have find some bats at the corners if he wants to start winning 40 games a year.

I don't know how it will translate to SEC ball but he's got a kid from Vianney coming in next year that plays 3rd for them and projects probably at 1st (maybe maybe 3rd) in college. Kid can hit. Oh, and he's averaging nearly 2 strikeouts an inning on the mound.

He's the best player on a Vianney team that is a top 20 team in the nation according to some.

Here's the Vianney kid's stats from the P-D site: Luke Mann

He's crushing right now. The Post-Dispatch site is pretty good at aggregating the HS stats. I'm sure it's all dependent on what the schools submit.

Sounds like he will go pro before he goes to Missouri.

I dunno that he's that good.

eta - He'll get drafted but I'd be a little surprised if he gets drafted so high that he foregoes college.
