Back in the day the secret to the Jerry's Hot Fudge take was the coffee. During the day the leftover coffee would be added to the hot fudge sauce to keep it liquid as constantly heated it would dry out. By the last shift lord knows how much coffee had been added during the day and the Hot Fudge cake gave you more of a jittery twitch than real Italian expresso.

Way back when I was a kid my folks would stop and get a fudge cake on road trips. Makes sense now
