Poor effort, but Kerryon has really really long arms for his size.

You're getting down voted but there's truth to this. Kerryon is 6ft tall with a wingspan of a 6'5" man. He also has 10'inch hands. He's built more like a swimmer than a RB. His long arms are a key to his running style.

He's not at an 18 rep disadvantage...

Chubb - 5-10 7/8
Michel - 5-10 5/8
Both have a 73 5/8" wingspan (roughly a +3 index - often called "ape index" in the rock climbing world... though can see how that might be viewed as offensive in CFB...)

Kerryon - 5-11 4/8 wingspan at 77 5/8... so a +6 index (or +3 differential).

For reference, Arizona State RB, Kalen Ballage, had similar measurements and put up 15 reps. (Everyone else with a 77"+ wingspan was either OL/DL/TE/WR that I can tell, so didn't seem reasonable to compare. Royce Freeman probably the next closest at 5-11 4/8 and 76 6/8" wingspan... 17 reps.

If anything it seems like maybe he wasn't properly prepped for the event... 11 was the lowest number of reps for any running back participating from what I can see (SB Nation article, so maybe missing some data?) - shared by Kerryon Johnson and WVU RB, Justin Crawford.
