a lot of people don't realize how good of a football player Steve Spurrier was. Florida was a nobody when he arrived on campus; had to sit out his freshman year (everyone had to) and then began to completely change florida football.
then he did it there as a coach!
he really was an amazing player and coach. he could come up with some "gems" for the press too. I used to "hate" the guy.
