So this means that Alabama is the SEC Champion of indoor Track & Field for 2018, huh?

Why don't just the conference champions get to compete for the national championship?....doesn't seem fair!

Totally unfair that any of the teams who didn’t win their conference championship would get to compete for the national championship. It’s a travesty and an outrage.

In track, entire teams don’t qualify for the National meet. Each event has certain qualifications, Times, etc. that have to be met in order to qualify. The teams with the most qualifiers are normally the teams in the running for the national title.

The National rankings are based on this criteria. In Men’s, Florida is #2 and Arkansas #3 nationally in the poll. Normally a top 5 team has a legit shot and enough qualifiers to win the national championship.
