Plus our Aerospace Engineering department is a dumpster fire right now.

I haven't heard this, but August Raspet was one of the leading pioneers in the field and put MSU Aerospace on the map way back in the 1950's.

Mississippi State University rocketry team, recently won the 2015 Intercollegiate Rocket Engineering Competition in Green River, Utah. The competition involved more than 70 universities from seven countries.

This is why Nasa is always calling on Msu.

Once had a really strong program. Lots going on right now. MSU put out a "Everything's okay" statement this week with the fire in the background.

MSU also recently lost Tier 1 research status. The biggest problem that MSU has is Starkville schools. Almost impossible to recruit top faculty when the schools are so bad. Its why MSU just committed to building a new K-12 school on campus. We have to fix that problem quickly. We're losing potential faculty across the board because they don't want to put their kids in the schools.

Private school is a option, but many in academia abhor private schools.
