So, I went to all three SC games this weekend. My Gamecocks showed a lot of promise. They've got the talent on the roster from four or five consecutive Top Ten recruiting classes including this last one which was consensus Top Five.

Kingston runs the games very much in his own style but reminiscent of Ray Tanner insomuch as he does appear to habe a good feel for the game and knows when to pull the trigger at various times ... always seems to have them in the right position.

I'd be willing to bet we're going to win a bunch of games this season but we'll truly know more after the Clemson series in a couple of weeks.

We'll climb the national rankings in short order leading into conference play. After that, hopefully this young pitching staff will have had enough time to gel a bit by then. We've got some arms ... they all seem to throw in the mid 90s. When they start hitting their zones and quit walking hitters they are going to be very good.

I think SC can be good this year. They’re probably so low in everyone’s rankings because no one knows how good they are going to be yet with a new coach. Gamecocks have a chance to be one of the best teams in the conference in my opinion
