Another Big Win

Good for NCAA tourney seeding and SEC tourney seeding.
The defense is pulling us through on nights we aren’t shooting well.
The play towards the end of the game where A&M didn’t get a shot off was a great summation of the whole game.
Good gutsy win. Again.
I like the idea of Jontay in the middle of the floor especially against the zone. But he’s not ready to be “the guy” in crunch time. The ball has to touch Barnett or Robertson inside of five minutes. And I don’t care if we’re up by 15. We can surrender a lead quicker than any team I’ve seen.

Jontay's shot near or inside the foul line is just terrible

Anyone share my thoughts that it appears, with around 6 minutes to go, that the team always seems to shift from "trying to win"...to "trying not to lose?"
That's when a decent lead starts to go south.

it seems more like with about 6 minutes to go they decide to miss 15 consecutive shots

It doesnt seem to me like they are taking the air out of the ball or anything. If anything, I think the shots were kind of quick a couple of times.
Seems more of a panic to me, and with the pattern that has established itself it's going to be hard to break.
Good thing is, they dont quit.
Jontay in that high post, I thought just made a couple bad decisions. He had some easy dump downs to Tilmon that would have been dunks but he shot it instead. Tentative shots too. Front of the rim. Good thing about him is he does other things so well, that he doesnt necessarily have to shoot well to make a positive impact.

Very big win...isn't it much nicer to be talking about how they almost lost a game instead if how they never had a chance to win the game again?
