They are spewing that his dad was a former NBA player and coach. I'm trying to get one of them to tell me the dad's name because I want to make sure I know what I'm talking about
I'm thinking they are trying to claim this guy is his real dad Derek Smith

Derek has a son named Nolan Smith. Derek died in 96 and Nolan is an athlete.......He played basketball for Duke 2007-2011 Nolan Smith

This summer some got mad when a few of us pointed out Webb got whipped by Ika and Sopsher.

Now it's okay to rag on him.

So they spend years accusing us of all kinds of recruiting improprieties that the great and noble UGA would never stoop to, then they hire our shadiest assistant to be their HC, and now when one of their recruits suddenly has a brand new car immediately after signing his LOI it's completely above board, nothing to see here.

Top 10 unsigned players in East's 2019 class (247Sports)

quote:

The yoeman's work for the 2019 class is done with nearly all of the schools signing the majority of their classes during Wednesday's first day of the Early Signing Period.

Alabama sits atop the 247Sports Composite team rankings followed by Georgia, Texas A&M, LSU and Oregon, but recruiting is far from over the cycle.

The early window closes Friday evening, and then there is a dead period for a few weeks before the recruiting frenzy kicks into high gear on Jan. 11 as the contact period starts back up and the race to Feb. 6 and the traditional signing period hits full speed.

In the East Region, there are plenty of high-caliber prospects still unsigned, including prospects committed to schools such as Alabama and Ohio State, and a number of other prospects with offers from the likes of Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Florida, USC and a host of other schools.

This feature looks at the top uncommitted prospects in the region, with updates on where their recruitment stands as the second day of the Early Signing Period moves along.

1. DARNELL WRIGHT, OT, HUNTINGTON (WV) HIGH

Darnell Wright, who is the No. 1 offensive tackle and No. 10 overall player in the 247Sports Composite, has taken his recruitment extremely slowly. He is yet to make any official visits, and he cancelled one to Georgia earlier this month with the idea of rescheduling for January.

He made an unofficial visit to Tennessee over the weekend and the Bulldogs, Vols, Alabama, Ohio State, Penn State and Miami are the schools involved with him the most. Wright always planned to sign in February, so the urgency for him to make official visits should pick up next month.

4. NICK CROSS, S, HYATTSVILLE (MD) DEMATHA

Nick Cross, who is the No. 5 safety in the 247Sports Composite, committed to Florida State on Sept. 3 but did not sign his binding letter of intent and does not plan to do so until Feb. 6. Cross remains committed to the Seminoles and he continues to be active in retweeting good news about the program, but the specter of Maryland exists. Cross' former high school coach, Elijah Brooks, was hired as an assistant coach at Maryland and there is a lot of speculation the Terps can flip him.

5. JARED HARRISON-HUNTE, DT, MIDDLE VILLAGE (NY) CHRIST THE KING

Penn State made a late push to get Jared Harrison-Hunte to sign this week, but he wants to visit two other schools before making a decision and signing in February. Harrison-Hunte made official visits to Arizona State, Ohio State, Miami and Penn State. He is setting up an official visit to Alabama and plans on making an unofficial to Michigan before he decides. Right now it looks like a battle between Penn State and Miami, but January will prove big in his recruitment, including how much Alabama and Michigan push for him.

6. KEILAN ROBINSON, RB, WASHINGTON (DC) ST. JOHN'S

Keilan Robinson, who is the No. 28 running back in the 247Sports Composite, committed to Alabama in late June and he remains committed to the Crimson Tide despite a lot of chatter, much coming after Alabama offensive coordinator and area recruiter extraordinaire Mike Locksley was named Maryland's head coach.

St. John's does not hold a December signing day event, so many of their 2018 prospects did not sign or did not reveal they signed last year until the February window opened. All indications are Robinson will sign with the Crimson Tide.

They also seemed to think that they are getting Ansley or Raymond as the DC. Can’t see either leaving their current job.

If anyone has a line directly to the NCAA, it's Ole Miss. Not to mention that AD is a shite head and will go out of his way to draw attention to cheating if he knows it happened

I know you can't get into details, but were "gifts" exchanged or promised openly?

That's some serious balls, especially when you are going up against a team that got nailed pretty good and is still recovering. If I were Ole Miss, I'd be salty as hell too

What did Alabama do to flip Sanders last minute? Rusty Mansell told me face to face that he called UGA staff and told him he was signing with them. Then a few hours before committing something switched to Bama.
