They are spewing that his dad was a former NBA player and coach. I'm trying to get one of them to tell me the dad's name because I want to make sure I know what I'm talking about 
I'm thinking they are trying to claim this guy is his real dad Derek Smith
Derek has a son named Nolan Smith. Derek died in 96 and Nolan is an athlete.......He played basketball for Duke 2007-2011 Nolan Smith

So they spend years accusing us of all kinds of recruiting improprieties that the great and noble UGA would never stoop to, then they hire our shadiest assistant to be their HC, and now when one of their recruits suddenly has a brand new car immediately after signing his LOI it's completely above board, nothing to see here.

The yoeman's work for the 2019 class is done with nearly all of the schools signing the majority of their classes during Wednesday's first day of the Early Signing Period.
Alabama sits atop the 247Sports Composite team rankings followed by Georgia, Texas A&M, LSU and Oregon, but recruiting is far from over the cycle.
The early window closes Friday evening, and then there is a dead period for a few weeks before the recruiting frenzy kicks into high gear on Jan. 11 as the contact period starts back up and the race to Feb. 6 and the traditional signing period hits full speed.
In the East Region, there are plenty of high-caliber prospects still unsigned, including prospects committed to schools such as Alabama and Ohio State, and a number of other prospects with offers from the likes of Penn State, Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Florida, USC and a host of other schools.
This feature looks at the top uncommitted prospects in the region, with updates on where their recruitment stands as the second day of the Early Signing Period moves along.

What did Alabama do to flip Sanders last minute? Rusty Mansell told me face to face that he called UGA staff and told him he was signing with them. Then a few hours before committing something switched to Bama.
