We seem to have peaked after the Florida game. Played well until the last 17 seconds. Since then, we have not played well. Slow starts are now becoming slow finishes too, with spurts in the middle. (Tenn game...no buckets in the Las 6 minutes of the game....played poorly against A&M late too) I don’t see improvement in this team during the course of the year. If anything, they seem to be going in the other direction. Tilmon has enough time to know what a foul is....Porter looks for 3’s more than he should..Barnett rarely hits the boards and stays out of the middle..avoids contact at all costs....Puryear can’t jump consequently gets stuffed when he goes inside...point guard, nuff said.....Robertson shows flashes but not consistent....coaching??? I’ll let you decide, but most well coached teams improve throughout the year, instead of going the other way.

So you are expecting a miracle? Mizzou won 8 games last season, Cuonzo added 3 players and Mizzou is going to go .500 in SEC play. That’s a great first year for what he inherited, and with his best player missing the season.

The key factor going forward is Geist. He needs to be down low posting up at center or power forward from now on. Forcing him to play point guard isn’t working

I expect a team to improve from the beginning of the year to now. That’s coaching. That’s what even bad teams do...they at least improve throughout the year.

We saw glimpses of a good team early on. Now, they seem to have regressed and morphed into a KA team, or a prior Cuonzo teams. 10 points in 15 1st half minutes....49 for the game. Does this look like improvement to you?

If you ignore the quality of the competition sure, they are regressing. In conference play teams will take away what Mizzou does best, and have the athletes and talent to do that. Teams in the early part of the schedule couldn’t do that.

I wasn't a fan of the hire. I liked the recruiting. I like the double digit wins. I just thought Mizzou settled for the homely girl instead of pursuing prettier girls who love sex and making dinner.

So what your saying is we peaked at 39:43 of the Florida game.

So we know exactly where it is.

He really needs to be a down low post up power guard that can run the offense when he's drainin 3's from wing.

But mostly he needs to rebound

We have a fairly good chance to make the tournament after winning 8 games last year and playing the entire season without our best player.

That's nothing short of fantastic. We played a good team on the road and lost. It happens.

lol every season has ups and downs.

3-3 in the SEC? Anybody in the SEC can beat anybody else in he SEC. I feel good about our position.

Too bad we don't have Porter Jr

That’s the only way we make the tournament. If MPJ comes back, and can play at 90% of his abilities, then we might have a chance. Other than that, we’re an NIT team.

Lunardi still has Mizzou safely in the tournament.

Keep playing the way we’re playing, and that’ll change quickly! Got Auburn this week.

I had Mizzou winning 17 games this year with MPJ and they are on that pace without him. They are playing with a new coach and system, MA's players from a 9 win season, and 2 freshmen and a new player(Roberson) in the starting lineup.

MA's players aren't use to winning. Mizzou players aren't the most athletic and doesn't have the talent to take the ball inside, but they do have some skilled players that will get better with time. They play passive and they will live and die with the 3. When they are on they are entertaining and I would rather have this competitive team over last year's team.

I agree this team is better than any Anderson team, however, let's look to next year.

No Robertson. No Barnett. No Porter Jr( my guess).

Puryear is what he is.
Geist- CVL are who they are
Tilmon and J Porter we expect to improve.

Do you see Nikko and Smith contributing more?

Does Phillips stay or transfer?

Is this a repeat of Haith? Year 1 awesome then a decline?

Next year will be a step back unless Cuonzo lands an impact PG.
I do expect Watson and Santos to be good, just not sure if they will be able to replicate what Robertson and Barnett have done this season.
