The NCAA wasn't naming a title. It was simply acknowledging that sources had named a team a title holder in those years.
That's exactly my point. But Auburn fans like to ignore reality. It wasn't an endorsement of any team or any poll. Just their own version of a Wikipedia entry.

No doubt. the sweet thing is, after they brought that out as "proof" they were better than Georgia, I went through it and it showed Georgia with one more National Title than them.
Kinda backfired.
