Found dead from a gunshot wound to the head in his apartment... prayers up for the young man’s family and the Washington State family.

Awful. If I were a betting man I’d say they will come out and say he had extreme CTE. Terrible thing

He was the heir apparent to the Air Raid out there.
I hate seeing stories about this kind of stuff, it’s just tragic.

Football players aren't the only people who commit suicide.
Very tragic.

Devastating. Really makes you think about how someone can be surrounded by ppl who adore them yet still feel like the loneliest person on the face of the Earth. Breaks my heart for his family and loved ones, but especially for him to have felt he had no other option available beyond taking his own life. RIP young man.

God be with him and all who mourn his tragic death.

Current starting QB of a successful D1 program. All the recognition, gratitude, and pussy a guy could dream of... Proof that you never know what's going on in somebody's head. Look out for your family/friends if something doesn't seem right... Based on life experience, these kind of things can be avoided with something as small as a phone call or a text.
RIP.
RIP.

Wish the young man knew how much people who don't even know him on an internet board cared. I wish I'd had the opportunity to see him grow up as we have so many ball players. God have mercy on his loved ones.

Maybe he was playing football because of the wishes of others and not because he wanted to. Didn't want the big stage

Do you make the same bet every time a college male commits suicide?
Just curious you you can afford to throw away all that money since College football players have a lower suicide rate than male students in general.
The reason someone would make such a drastic and terrible choice cannot be neatly placed into the fad of he day. Those struggles are intensely personal and often unknown to anyone else.

Yeah, I doubt a 21 year old back up quarterback had CTE. A person that age could commit suicide because their girlfriend broke up with them.

So horribly sad, just horrible. Prayers for all feeling depressed and hopeless.

This is very sad. But I am confused, why was Washington State practicing? The article said he was checked on at his apartment because he did not show up for practice.

CTE has been discovered in 18 year olds

If I had to make a wild guess at first hearing this, he was upset over a woman.
Prayers to the family.

Could have just been workouts. I know this time of the year is when the strength coach is really kicking your arse into shape.
