The idea of an older DC to work with Tosh for 1-2 years isn't a bad one. It is basically what Saban did to get Kirby ready in 2008. Kevin Steele had worked in the 3-4 a good bit in his career prior to being hired. But I don't know of a prior connection.
I would have to comb through former assistants of Saban's to see who might fit that criteria.

Just want someone that is familiar with the 3-4 and knows a complex defense like Saban's
