The terrible calls gave Bama a chance but, in the second half, Saban was aggressive on both sides of the ball and Kirby went passive. Coaching scared sucks.

I think us playing not to lose vs. playing aggressively is ultimately what cost us the game... glossing over no re-route on basic cover 2...

As painful as it was, I re-watched the game last night. I can't help but wonder if a number of the missed calls were simply due to refs trying to speed up the game. The first half was absolutely brutal with stoppages and a half million commercials every quarter. The second half had far fewer interruptions. If it was the case that they wanted to get the game moving more quickly, it would benefit the more "aggressive" team.
