It definitely seemed that way. Why coaches get away from what’s worked all game offensively to “protect” a lead puzzles me. It’s like playing prevent defense with a 2 point lead and two minutes left. The slot fades were there for the taking too, and Georgia only called two of them. The first one was picked off because of a bad throw and the second one went for an 80 yard touchdown. Tony Brown being the victim on both.

The terrible calls gave Bama a chance but, in the second half, Saban was aggressive on both sides of the ball and Kirby went passive. Coaching scared sucks.
