It was a false start by Alabama that they also missed. And it would have killed the play. But he is saying that the penalty they actually called was wrong. He was not off sides, and he is right.

People can rehash all the missed calls of every game and it doesn't change anything. To scream referees is just a way of trying to get other people to say your team should have won. It doesn't matter. Calls are not going to be changed and the game is not going to be replayed. If it were replayed there would be more missed calls.

Of all the off season threads these are some of my least favorite.

The entire argument is stupid since the end result was the same if they'd called it right, but I do have a question. Is there a picture they proved he wasn't offside?

In game they showed a ground level shot from the offensive side of the field that made it look like he wasn't but it wasn't a down the line shot where you could actually tell. They also showed a 3rd level shot from the punter returners view again you couldn't tell he wasn't offside. In game, real time with the normal shot he looked off side. Wondering if anyone can show a decent shot that proves he wasn't. The two still shots they used in game were angles that IMO distorted the perspective based on the angle. Just a thought.
