So A&M's plan was to make LSU increase the market value for top shelf coordinators as they search for a new DC. I'm sure that will work out great for them. But congrats on making LSU pay more for a DC everyone knows is good

Nope.

Their plan was to offer a great D coord a great deal, but within reason.

LSU overshot on the counter-offer. That price tag is too high for Aranda as DC. It's not that aTm couldn't match, it's more likely they didn't see the value at that price.
