I think quite a few of the national media are annoyed that this year the SEC is looking like a powerhouse in basketball.

Its going to be an all SEC affair for the football national championship and now they have to worry about us being a top 3 conference in roundball as well.

So a team like Arkansas, who has been fairly mediocre for a while if we are being honest, is not going to get very much love from them. It doesn't matter that we are having an excellent season so far, they want to find a reason to not rank us if they can.

I disagree that it is intentional.

I think a lot in the nat'l media have such entrenched beliefs about bball pecking order that they vote SEC lower out of inertia

Your losses were also pretty ugly though + the Problem is the timing of the OU/MN wins

OU- OU wasn't "good" then so you didn't get credit. Voters don't seem to reevaluate the resume every week like they should bbut almost cement the value of the win when it happened

MN- This win caused MN to have lost 3/4 including a bad Nebraska L + their weird Alabama game

TN- Winning in OT at home against another these specific voters prob underrate isn't a good win in their eyes
