Wisconsin has a better strength of schedule on all the computer sites than Alabama (after Ohio state game?)

Think that is only after both Ohio State and Miami. Alabama's SOS will be better again after they play Clemson. But, I do agree, Wisconsin definitely would have been ranked #1 or #2 if they were Ohio State, Alabama, USC, Michigan, etc. However, most of the "how good is the team" metrics that don't pay attention to jersey names had them around #6/#7 too, so there is something to the fact that they still weren't playing quite as well. It wasn't entirely "jersey name".

Takes nothing away from them, though. Very, very good team.

I agree summer of George. I’m not saying they were the best team in the country or deserved a playoff spot etc. they aren’t better than Clemson Alabama, etc but people treat them like they are western Michigan. That isn’t fair

Who else do they have to beat. I think beating lsu, auburn, usc, Miami. And on and on should pretty much prove they aren’t chumps or the little engine that could

You think if any of those teams started the pre-season ranked somewhere in the 8-10 range, and 7 of their 12 opponents had losing records, they’d still be ranked #1 or #2?
