Just as relevant and equally disingenuous.

Nope. One ranking was given after nearly an entire season of results. The other wasn't. Do I need to tell you which is which?

Mississippi State was a Top 20 team when we played them as well.

They were #24, weren't they?

Nobody cares.

Well, that's bullshite. Gumps were beating their chests about that ranked win. Hell, y'all were even throwing Fresno State around.

Neither is relevant when comparing resumes at the end of the season.

They were #18 when we played them and got up to #16 before losing their QB and losing to Ole Miss.

It’s still a ranked win. Fresno St. might end up being one as well. I don’t recall anyone using MSU’s ranking at the time we played them as a resume booster. For this conversation, they were and still are a Top 25 win. And that alone makes it a better win than Wisconsin’s win over Michigan.

MState was #16 when Alabama played them.
LSU #19
Auburn #6
Florida State #3

LINK

For Ohio State:
Oklahoma #5
Penn State #2
Michigan State #12
Wisconsin #4

Ohio State played a pretty impressive schedule all in all. They lost to #5 Oklahoma which hut....but the crusher was how they lost to non-ranked Iowa. Interesting thing is, if you take either of the losses away, Ohio State would probably have gone to the playoffs.
